Gender role orientation can be divided into two which are masculinity and femininity. Masculinity can be defined as a cross cultural dimension that refers to the degree of which a culture is founded on values that emphasize independence, aggressiveness , dominance and physical strength whereby femininity is a cross cultural dimension that refers to the degree of which a culture where the gender roles are overlapped.
Nowadays, we can see that there are so many countries are practising femininity rather than masculinity. This is because both genders have equal chances to develop themselves But still have some countries practise masculinity, an example Egypt. They think that women are weak and should be overruled by man. What do u think?? In Malaysia, nowadays, they have equal opportunities to do any jobs. They can do whatever man can do. Lets we take a look at students in UiTM. Women are majority and men are minority. Agreed?

From the article namely “Amid Treetops and Astride Camels”, we can conclude that there have both masculinity and feminity characterisitcs such as dominance , independence etc.
Lets we take a look the statement “ ....,I was asked at least three times about whether I and my fellow Malaysians live in trees “ haha..( just imagine how u will act if u will be asked that question? As for me, I will smile and sweetly reply, yes we are, because we are free to eat fruits! No need to buy at supermarket! Haha
How brave they are? It shows that they think that they are dominant and they believe that other countries are left behind ! (nowadays, orang utan also prefer to leave under the roof..haha)
Second statement : .... “ that her son’s American tuition teacher asked her curiously if they rode and straddle around on camels in her homeland. “ it shows that women are weird to ride camel. That is mean, only male can ride the camel. This is unfair rite? Women also want to get the chance to harm the camel.. haha
Third statement : ... “ they ( Soraya and Henry ) got married in Malaysia. They had recently relocated to the US where Henry was to take up his new post in Houstan” In this case, soraya have to follow her husband to immigrate to Houstan. This clearly shows that woman are under man’s control. ( woman have to accept the fate. Don’t ever try to converse the fate. BERDOSA! 

Fourth statement : Soraya concern with the quality of life. This is because she is fluently speak in english. Thats mean,Soraya knows that english is so important and she has been learnt about it.

Finally, from the article, we can conclude that other countries look Malaysia is a left behind country. This is because they didn’t know more about Malaysia’s cultures, traditions, development, background etc. But, we think that Malaysians have been well known already what....these can be proved with KLCC, Sepang Circuit F1, the successfulness of Datuk Sheikh Muzaphar went to space to make research.
But maybe not enough..so what we, as a Malaysian should do to make Malaysia well known?? ( do u have any ideas regarding this question? U are forced to answer this question  )

Ω : Actually both of genders play their own roles. No matter what gender you are, please bear in your mind that each gender have their own speciality. So , do corporate with each other.. Pls don’t change ur gender ! tq..
